On the first edition of Sunday Read, we talked about the cult of busy and referred to this article. “There’s a global epidemic of overscheduling and it’s ruining our health. Here’s how to recalibrate your relationship with time and get your life back.” We also recommended this track as a soundtrack for Sunday afternoon.

For the second edition, we recommended two articles on multitasking and productivity. Selver recommended this book and we recommended this work of Lars Jan.

“You have to get up and make work, even when you’re not supported, even when no one is looking at you, even when no one cares. The nuts and bolts of being an artist are about being okay to go it alone, and having faith that something will happen.”

3rd newsletter was about slowing down and the recipe of a good weekend. We listened this talk on flow, watched this video of a solo workcation and read this interview of Kimia Ferdowsi Kline. “You have to get up and make work, even when you’re not supported, even when no one is looking at you, even when no one cares. The nuts and bolts of being an artist are about being okay to go it alone, and having faith that something will happen.”

On our 4th edition, we had a little chat about priorities and ways to organize them so that it’s easier to manage time in busier times. “Do less. Understand your priorities and constantly defend them”. And related to our topic, we recommended this interview on being honest about what you have time for. We also talked about an artist we have been loving and shared some of her works from her website.

Fifth newsletter was about friendship. We talked about how our first collection “SİTE” was about a community of outsiders and Génération Professionnelle is, as the name suggests, about our generation. The importance of a community is significant to us and it is also a recurring theme. We shared some of our friends’ works, products, an article on friendship and a recipe.

For the sixth newsletter, we talked about our inspirations and material choices. All of our jewelry is made with industrial materials and inspired by industrial and everyday design. Our inspirations come from our encounters with industrial materials and products. Our materials, such as titanium and stainless steel, guide us. Epicene is a fine arts practice for us. We also recommended two articles, one artist and one musician.

On our 7th newsletter, we talked about energy and ways to protect it. We recommended a book and an essay to read on that topic. Also an update on our playlist was announced.
